My Course Project Page
This page describes what Jackson College's CIS 201 helped me improve, and some new sites i had yet to use on my own.
What did I learn?
I have enjoyed this class and the challenging tasks we have had that have pushed us to learn more while we progress in these classes. Some of the applications I had used before but did realize ones like blogger and wix have changed a lot since the last time I was using them. I have not used twitter and other apps like that as much, but it was interesting making my accounts and seeing what each of them had to offer. As I hope to create an online business, I can see many of these applications being useful and ones that will help me move forward, not only for my own business but even if employed by someone as well. I have also enjoyed reviewing others in this class and seeing different perspectives and layouts that each of us come up with. The display of differences and interests shows the potential that digital media and marketing really can provide.

Here I have two links to websites that I was able to use dur ring this course either to refamiliarize myself with the app we were asked to use, or used it to be able to do even more tasks using social medial platforms. I would have enjoyed creating a platform around the business idea that I have, but feel it is still to soon to try to push the brand like I know I want to once I have inventory.

Facebook, I have used for personal use, as well as a private page, but I don’t use my Facebook the same as everyone like pushing for more of a following. I do see the importance of it but have not felt I have been in a position yet to put myself out there. This class did make me realize how I may need to change this and push more to gain a social media following myself.
LinkedIn on the other hand I do not normally use. While I did have somewhat of a profile set up already, it didn’t have much more than my name and old contact info. I am not sure how much I may use this in the future, but I enjoyed filling out more information to evaluate my own work history. While I have found better results networking for a job in the field I desire outside of platforms like these, I liked how I found hemp and medicinal cannabis groups on the site.

Creating a MindMap
This portion i found easy but hard to incorporate into my website. It seemed that an older version of mindmeister.com offered a share button, but i could not find a way to share without an email. Without upgrading the only way to share was by making a document exported to my computer. If you do travel to my how page, you can find links at the bottom to take you to majority of the sites I worked on for this class.
